The Woman Behind The Crew

Lakesha, a St. Louis native, 29 year old fiancé, mother, daughter. She is the founder and visionary behind The Melanated Crew, a woman centered lifestyle brand created to cultivated sisterhood, connections and an experience for black women.

With a passion for bringing people together and creating spaces where women can connect authentically, Lakesha established The Melanated Crew in 2024. What began as a vison for a woman’s social club has grown into a multifaceted brand offering monthly social club membership, wedding and event planning and content creation.

Through the Melanated Crew, Lakesha is intention about creating an experience that encourages and uplifts, and empower women while giving them the space to build genuine relationships and lasting bonds.

Beyond The Melanated Crew, Lakesha is proud St. Louis Metropolitan Police Officer, with eight years of service. She is also pursuing a degree in Child Psychology, continuing to expend her knowledge and passion for working with and supporting others.

At the heart of everything she creates, is one simple belief:

Black Women deserves spaces where they can be celebrated and simply be themselves.

Today, Lakesha continues to build The Melanated Crew with one goal of creating a space where they can come as they are, form sisterly bonds, support one another and experience life together.

And this is only the beginning.
